Friday 19th September 2014 24th Week In Ordinary Time 1 Cor 15:12-20 Psalm 16:1-6,8-15 Luke 8:1-3 WOMEN HELPERS A group of women, we are told, assisted Jesus and His apostles out of their own funds. It means, first of all, that having funds is in itself not a bad thing. It all depends what use is made of them and what they serve for. When they are used for the good of others, certainly they achieve their right end or purpose. It is also good to note that all these women, who assisted Jesus and his apostles, were themselves firstly healed, liberated and rendered capable of such generosity. It wouldn’t be different in our case.
