Catholic Schools Week 2014 Jan.26- Feb. 1st Theme: Catholic Schools Communities of Faith, Knowledge, and Service This theme will be used for at least the next 3 years to increase branding opportunities. Charity work: Dollars for Diocese (Catholic Charities). Students will donate a dollar to our charity fund. If all students just donate one dollar, we will raise $615. Writing: Grades 1, 5, and 8 will write about what Catholic Education Means to Me Letters to Priests: Grades K, 3, and 6 will write letters to priests. Letters to Seminarians: Grades 2, 4, and 7 will write letters to seminarians. Sunday, Jan. 26th • Pancake breakfast in the OLLIS cafeteria from 7:30a.m.–1:00 pm. • Open House for current and perspective families and alumni from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. We encourage our OLLIS students and families to wear their OLLIS apparel to Mass this weekend. All OLLIS students and families will be recognized at Mass. Monday, Jan. 27 • Monte Selby, a visiting songwriter, will perform for OLLIS students. • There will be a family evening event with Monte Selby on Tuesday, Jan. 28 from 6:00-6:45 pm in the OLL church. Monte Selby is a fun performer who engages the audience in his performance. We hope to see you at this event!! • Mass (K-4 and Tolton students) • Quiz bowl for second grade with D&H in Flanagan Hall @ 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29th • Prayer service in the gym for all at 7:40 a.m. • International Dinner for 7th graders and their families and staff at noon in Flanagan Hall Thursday, Jan. 30st • Mass (5-8) • Student Council members to volunteer at the food bank at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31st • All school Mass K-8 • Black and Gold Day. Students may wear Black and Gold attire with jeans and or khakis. • Volleyball Game, 8th grade vs. Faculty and staff 2 p.m.-3 p.m.
