Cats and dogs poisoned with FURADAN near Bucharest ( what else is knew ? ...Romania the land of FURADAN...) Two of Mr. Marin Paun cats, ( Clinceni ) died poisoned. To find out what exactly killed the cats ( 1 year old and 4 years old ) Mr. Paun took the cats to the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Bicharest and also to a lab subordinated to ANSVSA. The results show that in the cats stomachs they found a purple substance and there is a suspicion of Furadan poisoning ) The tozicology reports from the Laboratorul Național de Referință pentru Diagnostic și Sănătate Animală din cadrul Institutului de Diagnostic și Sănătate Animală București, instituție subordonată Autorității Naționale Sanitare Veterinare și pentru Siguranța Alimentelor indicate the presence of Furadan ( also known as Curater ) On Oct 23 I was in my yard with a neighbor and was holding one of my cats in my arms. I let the cat go so I could help him move a barrel. That same moment, some sausages habe been thrown right in the middle ofmy yard. Both cats started eating those sausages and after 5 minutes they started vomiting , to have spams and died. The sausages landed at about 2 feet from the big pot in which my 80 years old father in law was preparing his soup. If those sausages would have ended up in the pot and he would have eaten the soups I would have been blamed for killing him . I knew whcih of my neighbors threw the sausages tainted with Furadan and also know who is the supplier , but I still do not have the material proof, . In February, the same neighbors, killed one of my dogs. He vomited only blood and died. AT that time I had a discussion with them and I filled in a complaint with the local police, and in the answer I got from the police they said that Mr. and Mrs Luca are not in conflict with me anymore, but they were disturbed by my dog. The moment I took in another stray dogs from the streets, to save him from dog catchers, they ( Luca family ) told me that they will kill this one too, because he barks. I asked the Police to make them take a lie detector test, which I am ready to pay for, because I only want them to stop killing animals. All the cats, except the Persian which they killed are cats taken from the streets because my wife and myself, we love animals very much, and we feel so sorry for them when we see them on the streets. There are other neighbors who had their animals ( dogs and cats ) poisoned with Furadan, on this same street. IN our comuna - Clinceni Ilfov _ many stray dogs have been and are killed with Furadan. Now they throw Furadan even in peoples yard. they threw the poison right next to a stove they use in the backyard in order to avoid the smell of cooking in the house, so people could have been killed too. The furadan was meant for the dogs, but two cats died. I cannot tell you how upset these people are because of the death of their cats, because they adore animals. My neighbor took the cats to the vets and they found Furadan in their stomachs. After they confirmed the poison, and the substance which is banned, Police has been called to start an investigation in order to find the provenience of the substance and to identify the persons who have it ( being a small comune, people know who these persons are, but for the moment nobody talks ) Lets hope that, being forced by law, those who know will tell the truth in order to avoid the poisoning of more animals, and also people.
