Caught a real break today coming home today traveling through a construction zone of a street that has been essentially finished for over a month. No real construction going on. A Sheriff Department Officer on a cycle pulled me over telling me I was doing 44 in a 25. I told him I simply was talking to my wife and daughter about her custody hearing and was not paying attention and did not notice I had started in the construction zone. After checking out my record he came back and said since I had no record of tickets he was going to let me off with a warning. He said you still have to watch for the signs until they take them down. Whew !!! That would have been an expensive ticket. Lucky break. Maybe I should buy a Powerballl ticket today. :-)
