Caught up on several films, and the one that stands out (not for a good reason) is The Counselor. If ever a film existed that set expectations for potential greatness yet under-delivered in such a spectacular fashion, this was it. Directed by Ridley Scott. Main cast consisting of Penelope Cruz, Cameron Diaz, Javier Bardem, Brad Pitt, and Michael Fassbender. Interesting premise. Good trailers. And then upon watching it, it was one of the most mediocre, dark, and utterly pointless/cold flicks Ive seen. If you were to want to go and see it anyway, focus on Cameron Diazs completely ridiculous and laughable performance. Otherwise, avoid.
