Need to discuss the “Light up the Night” Festival ASAP Important dates for our Calendar …. 11/20/14 - Light up the Night festival, Thursday, 3pm – 9pm, the CavBots will be selling popcorn that night 01/03/2015 - FRC Kickoff Event, Time: 10:30-11:30 AM (ET) Location: Worldwide! FRC Kickoff marks the beginning of the design and build season. Teams have the opportunity to meet at local Kickoffs to compare notes, get ideas, make friends, find mentoring teams, learn the game, pick up the Kit of Parts, and get geared up for the exciting competition season 01/03/2015 - Local Kickoff , Time: 10:30-11:30 AM (ET) - Kit Pick up/Delivery - Novi High School, 24062 Taft Rd, Novi, MI 48375, (248) 449-1500. This is a letter requirement. March 26 – 28, 2015, Center Line District Event – Centerline High School April 02 – 04, 2015, Troy District Event – Troy Athens High School April 08 – 11, 2015, District Championship - Eastern Michigan University April 22 – 25, 2015, FIRST Championship - Edward Jones Dome, St. Louis, MO USA Requirements to earn a “letter” for SLHS FIRST Robotics team For a student to earn a sports letter for SLHS’s FRC Team 5214, The Mighty CavBots, the student is required to perform the follow: · Attend and participate in the FRC Kickoff event · Attend and participate in all local district/regional events that the team competes at during the year (trying for four local events for 2015) · Attend and participate in at least three outreach events that the team is involved in during the year · Attend and participate in all fund raising events that the team is involved in during the year · Attend and participate a minimum of fifteen hours per week during the build season · Attend and participate a minimum of three hours per week during the non-build seasons · Maintain a minimum GPA of a “B” during the school year
