Cburg beat Holtville tonight like 27 to 0. Heard tonight Cburg is the no. 3 seed for the playoffs right now. Only lost 2 games thus far to Dadeville and Clay County. Chances are looking pretty good for the boys to do well in the playoffs if they can keep the special teams alive and well. Kicking unit had some trouble tonight with a blocked punt and a blocked extra point so Im sure coach Fowler will have the line working on keeping kick rushers out of the ay for Noah to get the kicks off. One punt Noah smith did get off in time was pinned down at the one yard line tonight so he is kicking well just have to work on blocking for him a little. Zach Lightsey was in good form as usual at QB. I think the cold had them all a little tight tonight. Including Holtvilles squad. Cold ball and cold hands makes things heavy and everyone didnt seem as fast as they normally are but it happens when the cold hits and you play that first good cold game. Theyll settle into it and be ok at playoff time I think. Winterboro is next and Im actually surprised we have them on the schedule but if history tells us anything Im pretty they wont present a threat . Its been fun getting back to the stadium to watch the games and Im hoping to enjoy a really good set of playoff games to come soon. GO BIG BLUE!!
