Celebrating 75 years of Serving, Caring, Healing, Growing and Leading, The Children’s Clinic, “Serving Children and Their Families” (TCC) is an integral part of the greater Long Beach community. Founded in 1939, by a group of physicians and community leaders who recognized the importance of access to healthcare for all children, particularly those who are from low income families and who are at risk for health problems. In that first year, 146 children were cared for and received 1,828 services in a single room location. Since then TCC has gone from offering weekly well-child care to providing full time comprehensive health care for the whole family at nine sites. A unique leader in the greater Long Beach community, TCC serves as the medical home for over 36,000 residents of greater Long Beach. #20yearsofLAClinics Congratulations TCC—you’ve come a long way!
