Some of you may not have heard about him, but he is a gentleman who is blazing the name of Nigeria all over the world at this time. Many of us who are familiar with Nigerian basketball know Kingsley as a FIBA graded referee and one of the best referees in Nigeria. Now we have official confirmation that he is not only all that, but also one of the best referees in the entire World. We must be proud of this accomplished son of Nigeria, who has brought honor to his country by being one of the referees selected to come to Spain as a neutral referee. Let me emphasize again so you can appreciate the true scope of his accomplishment. He is not going as an accompanying referee with the Nigerian team, since Nigeria did not qualify for the World Cup. HE IS INVITED SPECIALLY BY FIBA IN APPRECIATION OF HIS QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL ATTRIBUTES, TO COME AND ASSIST THEM TO ENSURE FAIRPLAY AND FAIRNESS IN OFFICIATING, AT THE TOPMOST LEVEL OF BASKETBALL IN THE WORLD!!! Please, three Gbosas for Kingsley Ojeaburu…Gbosa….Gbosa….Gbosa!!! There is no Nigerian team to watch at the World Cup, but we have Kingsley to watch and cheer for. Follow his game, and even though there is no Nigerian team to cheer by shouting “see pass!....or see dunk!” in reaction to an exciting basketball move, cheer and shout “see call!.....or see whistle!”....... when Kingsley is officiating. He is our own one-man Team Nigeria in Spain!
