Celebrating the Year of the Horse: Guzheng in Concert A Performance by Weishan Liu (Virtuoso and Music Director) and Anna Wong (Artist) Tuesday, Jan. 28 | 5:00 - 6:15 p.m. Fromm Hall, Xavier Room Join the Center for the Pacific Rim as we celebrate the year of the horse. We’ve invited Weishan Liu (Virtuoso and Music Director) and Anna Wong (Artist) of the San Francisco Guzheng Music Society to help us ring in the lunar new year by performing a variety of traditional, classical, folk, and contemporary guzheng music. The society was formed in 1982 to promote and share the music of guzheng (an ancient Chinese stringed instrument that dates back 2500 years) to the San Francisco Bay Area. Weishan Liu is one of the world’s leading guzheng virtuosos.
