Celebrating the new year and our approaching 40th year together seemed like a dinner splurge was appropriate. So Jonathan and I put on our casual best (no shorts for me) and walked to nearby Paris Bangkok Restaurant which weve eaten in several times before. Its neighborhood dining and weve never been disappointed. Just like last night. It was a set menu, with foie gras on caramelized onion on toast, scampi with a dash of cognac on a squash emulsion, a most tender beef filet in porcini sauce, and ending with a goat cheese on roasted apple slice which segued into a massive chocolate dome which was the thriller for Jonathan! Note the grin. With a bottle of the petit chablis, what else could you ask for? A walk was helpful afterwards as we rolled out of there stopping to congratulate the manager Deny yet again. When in BKK get over there and dine the best of French food out of France! A HAPPY FIRST DAY TO ALL AS WE START ON ROUNDING THE SUN YET AGAIN. AND AGAIN AND AGAIN.
