Celebrating with our families as we say,So long and good luck to John Menger. He reports to the US Army at Fort Jackson, SC on Tuesday, 1 April. He will do Basic Training at Ft Jackson, then Advanced Individual Training at Fort Gordon, Ga as a Satellite Communication Specialist (75S). We are quite proud of him as he moves onward and upward into this new life for himself. He has made this decision over a long period of time, with much thought and discussion with us and others. He starts his military career as a Private First Class (E-3) based on 2 things. Either one would qualify him to enter as a PFC; 1) college hours equal to junior class and, 2) Eagle Scout rank. He follows a family tradition of service from both sides of our family with many Great grandfathers, Grandfathers, Great Aunt & Uncles, Uncles, Aunts, and both parents. We are very proud of him and wish him Godspeed and safety wherever he travels.
