Celebration of Anne McAfee’s Life 2 – 6 p.m., Saturday, July 20 Program 2:00 – 2:50 Reception 2:50 – 3:00 Song – move to seats. 3:00 – 3:45 Program 3:45 – 6:00 Open mic – stories and reminiscences. Speakers include former state representative Gonzalo Barrientos and Rep. Donna Howard. The program and open mic time will be videographed. For those not comfortable speaking in a large gathering – or just afraid they won’t be able to get a word in edgewise – a second videographer will be upstairs in the bridesmaid’s dressing room at Green Pastures to record anything friends want to share less publicly. First room to the right up the main staircase. The family will be listening and learning about Anne’s life as much as others will. We would love to hear all the stories. More than adding to our knowledge, we hope the stories will help us inspire and teach the next generation what engaged citizenship, devotion to country, and dedication to the common good look like.
