Celebrity converts: Muslims often use celebrities who convert to islam as marketing for their cult. They get a sense of inflated pride because a well known individual has converted to the cult. Even if its just a rumor, muslims grab on to it and use it to peddle islam. Of course, half of supposed conversions arent even true, for example the alleged conversion of Neil Armstrong, who denied the allegations himself, even though muslims still use his and other conversions as marketing for the cult. Another more recent case of rumored conversion is Rowan Atkinson AKA Mr Bean. Even though his conversion was only a rumor, the muslim community was ri peddling his alleged conversion to the masses like they had saw him do it.
