Cellino - Imports are accepting my Leeds challenge: Leeds United owner Massimo Cellino says all the foreign imports coming into Elland Road have accepted his challenge and should be proud to play for the club. The Italian, who owned Serie A side Cagliari for 22-years, is currently securing deals to sign a number of players from the top flight of Italian football. The club has already unveiled goalkeeper Marco Silvestri and deals for Tommaso Bianchi, Jonathan Rossini, Souleymane Doukara and Gaetano Berardi are also reportedly close to be completed and Cellino will hope to bring them back from Italy, where Leeds are currently training. Speaking to BBC Radio Leeds, Cellino said, I have told the Italian players, they should be proud to come to Leeds. We need to make a strong team and they are all coming from Serie A in Italy. They want to come to Leeds and they are not coming for the money, they are coming in on the same wage they were on in Italy. They are coming because they accept my challenge So far, Leeds have brought in just one player from English football with free agent Stuart Taylor signing a one-year deal following his release by Reading at the end of last season.
