Cementoblastoma: Results of a clinicopathologic study of seven cases of cementoblastoma revealed a narrow age distribution of 15 to 22 years, a tendency for the tumor to cause pain or discomfort, and relatively consistent radiographic findings showing central mottled opacity with a well-demarcated radiolucent border of variable width. Tumors were fused to teeth and microscopically resembled osteoid osteoma and benign osteoblastoma, lesions which may be related to cementoblastoma. Cellular areas can be mistaken for osteosarcoma. Treatment of all cases consisted of enucleation, and none of the tumors recurred during follow-up intervals of 6 to 10 years. There seems to be justification for retaining the term cementoblastoma.
