Censor Board controversy. Whats the truth? I was in this business of films for a while. A film is usually ready just about in time. No company has the time to wait for the censor board clearance. So the system was efficient. Some tout would call, ask for 25 k if it was a harmless film and get u clearance in a few days. The censor board has nothing to do with certification. That is done thru an advisory panel set up by the ministry comprising touts and really vague aam aadnis. Issues escalate to members of the Censor Board only if theres an issue and even then their hands are tied. Leela Samson is right. And the rifle shooter minister has obviously no idea of how the process works. Someone please tell him.
