Censorship By Intimidation: From The White House To The Insurance Companies by Bob Allen From CNN: White House officials have pressured insurance industry executives to keep quiet amid mounting criticism over Obamacares rollout, insurance industry sources told CNN. After insurance officials publicly criticized the implementation, White House staffers contacted insurers to express their displeasure, industry insiders said. Multiple sources declined to speak publicly about the push back because they fear retribution. But Bob Laszewski, who heads a consulting firm for big insurance companies, did talk on the record. The White House is exerting massive pressure on the industry, including the trade associations, to keep quiet, he said. Laszewski, whos been a vocal critic of Obamacare, said hes been asked by insurance executives to speak out because they feel defenseless against an administration that is regulating their business – and a big customer. Government-backed plans accounted for about half of health care policies last year, a number that is expected to grow over the years. Earlier this week we learned from CNN anchor Carol Costello that White House officials threaten journalists jobs for speaking ill of the President. Today we discover that denizens of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue are bullying insurance companies to shut up about the massive problems with Obamacare. A President who threatens fellow citizens for exercising free speech, and telling the truth, is more than unworthy of the Office—he is worthy of impeachment. No man is above the Law in America, and to allow such disgusting Presidential behavior to continue unpunished is an indictment of elected officials who have taken a vow to uphold the Constitution, and protect the rights of American citizens. Please note that both of these reports come from CNN—not exactly a source known to be part of the Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy. We should be thankful that even sincere progressives are apparently waking up to the dangers posed by this would-be Caesar. I guess CNN is becoming racist, too.
