Centaur Soldiers and Families, As I’m sure most of you have already learned, the government has shutdown effective immediately. This will not affect current pay for service members; ALL of the Centaur Soldiers will continue to receive the same pay and benefits that they have always been receiving. In regards to the 3/1 Brigade shutdown, personnel reassignment will begin shortly after we return from leave following redeployment. The process of reassigning personnel and equipment will take time, and should be complete by 2015. I also want you to know that the majority of us will leave the unit and installation by Summer 2014. Please note that the Brigade shutting down is not related to the government shutdown, and operations during our current deployment will continue normally. Swift and Bold! Centaur 6
