Central Asian Youth Network (CAYN)-2013 This year the most part - TopicsExpress

Central Asian Youth Network (CAYN)-2013 This year the most part of alumni were ready to come to Almaty on their own expenses only because of friends. CAYN 2013 was mysterious for everyone. The topic was about extremism. So everything was connected to this issue. We had guest lectures and workshops in different places. Also we were lucky to see play “Nord Ost” at “ARTiSHOK” modern theater. To be honest it was my first time when I saw this performance and I was shocked. Each scene has caused a storm of emotions, chills ran through the skin. At this CAYN we had chance to try in drama. There were 2 plays: “Cherry Docs” by David Gow and “Fundamentalists” by Juha Jokela. I was lucky to play main character in the “Fundamentalists”. Also some participants who didn’t took part in play had very good experience in encounter and photo hunting at the same time explored the city and had opportunity for teambuilding. At the end we performed the play! I should say that it was explosion of emotions! I never felt myself full of emotions at the end of play. At the end we had diversity night! There were wonderful dance by Tajikistan representative, very energetic mass dance by Afghanistan participants (1st time students from Afghanistan taking part in CAYN. Now networking is enlarging), funny role play by Kazakhstan students, traditional game and song by Uzbekistan delegation and wonderful play on traditional instrument – Komus by Kyrgyzstan delegate. All participants of this year were so cool, smart, funny and very social. They are really leaders in their societies. At the end I should say that CAYN 2013 was entertaining and network building! During all years of my participation I was responsible for the last farewell party: time for relax, fun and say good bye (each alumni has some responsibility in some part of the program). Each year we have amazing and funny flash mobs and interesting T-shirts with names! Central Asian Youth Networking for me is not just a program it’s my family. This program gave me 1st of all soul mates, friends around the CA, funny time, knowledge and of course experience! Now it’s more than just a program, it`s real networking! Mostly alumni come to CAYN to meet friends, and this reason makes us work harder, bring something new to CAYN and keep this program existing! Thank you to organizers for such a wonderful idea and assistance! written by Dilfuza Kurolova
