Central Contact Committee - Hizb ut Tahrir Wilayah Pakistan #Pakistan government imposes more humiliation on its nation courtesy of the #IMF As if financial survival in Pakistan was not a nightmare already, our government charged with looking after our affairs has decided to add Rs.0.30 per unit to our fuel bills under the ‘EQ Surcharge’ which the average person on the street would not even realise existed on his bill. If the blood had not been squeezed from our lifeless bodies, the government continues to serve the conditions imposed by the IMF just so it can generate an additional Rs4bn per month. And worse still, why are we having to pay this additional charge? Because the government has delayed in paying back the owed amount to the energy producers, so we are having to pay the charged interest on this liability!! How much more humiliation are we to face under this capitalist driven system which has stripped us of our dignity, honour and livelihoods? We not only pray, but work actively for the Khilafah system that once dominated the world and gave the Muslims a golden era which they still cherish until this day. Under the rule of Umar bin Khattab, ‘Abu Hurayra once brought to Umar a large amount of funds from Bahrain. So Umar asked him: “What have you brought?” He said: “I brought you five hundred thousand Dirhams (500,000).” Umar said to him: “Do you know what you are talking about? You must be tired, so go to sleep and come and see me in the morning”. When he came the next day, Umar asked him “How much is it?” Abu Hurayra said: “500,000 Dirham.” Umar enquired: “Is it legitimate (Halal)?” Abu Hurayra replied: “I know nothing else but that”. Upon this Umar stepped up the Mimbar, praised Allah and glorified Him, then said: “O people! A large amount of funds has reached us, so if you wish we can divide it among you in measure or if you wish we can count it”.
