Central Intelligence Agency personnel who were working in Benghazi are outraged that the agency has dropped the ball in its virtually nonexistent investigation into the terrorist attacks that killed two of their own, Ambassador Chris Stevens, and another member of the embassy staff. According to a recent report by Fox News, the CIA has turned the investigation over to the FBI, which is unacceptable to operatives who were working in Benghazi that fateful night. Fox reports… “[A]t least two complaints were filed by CIA employees concerned about the attack, which began at the U.S. compound and eventually spread to the CIA annex one mile away. There is no question that CIA personnel saved a lot of lives; those on the ground that night continue to herald the heroism of the individuals who responded to try and help Stevens and others under attack. Yet questions remain about the overall decision-making, possible destruction of evidence and warnings of an impending attack. ‘There needs to be a CIA investigation ... there was a lot of things done wrong,’ one special operator said.” ++Americans are demanding the truth! In a recent Fox News poll, a remarkable sixty-six percent of Americans believe that Congress must continue the investigation and not allow the Benghazi attacks to become another Obama scandal swept under the rug. That is precisely why we are petitioning and faxing House Speaker John Boehner to establish a bipartisan Select Committee empowered to investigate the Benghazi attacks, to expose the subsequent cover-up, and to tear down the administration’s blockade. I stand in unison with a clear majority of Americans, over 114,000 friends of Liberty Counsel Action, 180 Members of the House of Representatives, numerous Senators, scores of military-based organizations, and the families of Benghazi’s victims in declaring it’s well past time for the Speaker to take action and establish a House Select Committee! It’s the only way to have a coordinated, thorough investigation of the events surrounding the deadly Benghazi scandal and the Obama administration’s cover-up.
