Century Link crews and engineers have been in Big Elk working hard to get our phone lines back. One crew member painted a heart on our repair area - all we had to do was call to reestablish service. That was my truth with Century Link. Others have had aggravations. Central to the problem is the interface with customer service with inconsistent, varying results and unending transfers. Neil Largent, Century Link rep in Boulder, has stepped up to make the phone bills right. Hes reviewing with his supervisors the Town Hall reps promises made and the inconsistencies. CAN ANYONE LET NEIL KNOW WHERE on the Town Hall meeting video clip a Century Link rep explained the status? Neil is accessible in person, by phone and by email. I stopped by yesterday. This one-to-one contact was stellar. Again his contact info is below. Another recent email: Dear Donna, Thanks for the feedback regarding the general consensus in the area regarding CenturyLink, I certainly want to do my best to remedy as many situations as I can! I’m happy to do as much as is possible to help the Big Elk community and the customers in the affected areas, if I could get a list of names and contact information for the affected people. I have the authority, should it be necessary, to issue credits for overages and/or incorrect charges like those directory assistance calls, etc., but I’m not able to help a whole lot without more specifics. I want to get the folks who are having billing issues resolution as quickly as I can. Could you please compile that sort of list that I can begin working on, or should I ask for a list from someone else? Maybe we start with your personal account number, so we could make credits on that, and go from there? I’m wanting to help as many people as I can… Again, absolutely happy to help, I just need some quantifiable names and numbers to get started on. You have to step up and be responsive to help offered. Board member secretary Catherine Sees or Guy Scoma may present this information via the official group email and Carole Nelson Renouf may post on the firehouse door BUT their job is not to take care of members. Their job is to take care of Big Elk Meadows recovery. Certainly the two intersect. Carole has posted many helpful pieces of information and still people dont see it on the door. Communication - its a devil.
