This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a PhD to advance their academic career by joining a vibrant research-led school. Our research puts people at the heart of our endeavours, addressing growing distrust and uncertainty in care systems and practice. You will have an undergraduate degree in a relevant health or social science discipline and a PhD in a relevant subject area. It is expected that your research will contribute to one of the following academic areas (a) Research into Education; (b) Research in Social Work, Social Policy, Sociology & social anthropology; or (c) Research in midwifery, nursing, public health, physiotherapy & nutrition. These mirror the following units of assessment in the REF: UoA 25, 22, 23 or 3. You will have the ability to plan your own day-to-day research activity and workload within the framework of the agreed programme and to work effectively with a team of researchers.
