[ChE 100] Why Chemical Engineering? Why not? ;) But - TopicsExpress

[ChE 100] Why Chemical Engineering? Why not? ;) But seriously, like many others I started out liking Chem out of all the science subjects in school. I am an application-type of person so I naturally became attracted to the application of the Chem concepts. It was then when I made the decision that this is want I want to do during my existence - to be a Chemical Engineer. The field is a broad one so graduating with this degree will give me many options to choose from and I like having many choices. But I read a lot of articles saying that Chemical Engineers have a huge contribution in the pollution of the environment. Instead of being discouraged, this instead pushed me more to become a Chemical Engineer because it is also fellow Chemical Engineers who can reverse the negative effect that other Chemical Engineers do to our environment. And I definitely would want to do just that (reversing the results of their actions not polluting the Earth heavily).
