Terming continuous detention of Mir Hafiz Ullah a worst example of state terrorism, Syed Ali Geelani said that despite admission of bail and consequent court orders for release, he was detained and shifted to Srinagar jail. Syed Ali Geelani while citing the case of Mohammad Yaseen Yatoo said that even after repeated application for parole, he is not being released on parole to attend wedding ceremony of his sister. Authorities should explain under what section of the law, Mir Hafiz Ullah has been re- arrested and what is the legal and moral justification for his continued detention, asked Syed Ali Geelani. While emphasizing legal consultancy committee of Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Geelani asked to seek legal advice and verify and take necessary steps for filling a petition in apex court. Tuesday, Syed Ali Geelani in a statement, said that Mir Hafiz Ullah was detained in 2008 and since then district authorities on different intervals has slapped PSA 9 times against him and added that during court proceedings the allegations proved to be unfounded and he was equited from all charges. Last time court on 26th July bailed him out against all cases, however on September 2 when his bail documents were submitted in the court of Additional Session Islamabad, the authorities without assigning any reason or legal justification, detained him and shifted to Central Jail Srinagar. Syed Ali Geelani said that a youth Mohammad Yasin Yatoo ( Chadoora Nagam ) who is languishing in jail since last several years, had applied for parole to attend marriage ceremony of his sister ,however the administration without assigning any reason has dismissed and turned a deaf ear to his request . Hurriyat chairman expressed his deep concern over the reports that released youth are being compelled to attend control room Srinagar on prescribed days and dates and added that they are compelled to provide detailed particulars of their families and relatives. Syed Ali Geelani said that on September 2 , scores of youth were forcibly brought to attend control room Srinagar and were further directed to attend same meetings on September 5,12,25,& 27.According to reports on September 2nd number of police officials in their civil dress ,introduced a psychologist who asked different types of bizarre questions ,reported the youth present there .The youth called it an insult and were irritated and in a clear message conveyed that neither they are psychiatric patient nor their mental status has deteriorated. They in turn unanimously made it clear that prevailing uncertainty and instability is because of Kashmir Issue and it is a reality that nobody can deny. The youth present in the meeting while commenting over the atrocities that Indian forces are committing, said that it is because of these excesses that their life has turned miserable and are facing many social problems. Syed Ali Geelani strongly condemned the authorities and added that the youth are being pushed to the wall and said that puppet regime of Umer Abdullah and government of India will have to bear consequences. Stressing for the release of Mir Hafiz Ullah, and Mohammad Yaseen Yatoo on parole, Syed Ali Geelani urged Amnesty International and human rights organizations to take notice of serious human rights violations in state and urged that while protecting the civilians from state this terrorism, they ought to fulfill their assigned obligations.
