Syed Ali Geelani in his statement warned indian authorities and termed the continued detention of Masarat Alam Butt, Mir Hafiz Ullah, Mohammad Rafiq Ganai, Shakir Ahmed Shopian, Zubair Ahmed, Nasir Abdullah Palhallan and Shakeel Ahmad Bhat (Srinagar) a worst type of political reprisal .Syed Ali Geelani alleged that policy adopted in context of the Kashmir state would only enhance uncertainty and political instability but in no case can force people for surrender or give up their struggle. Syed Ali Geelani termed recent statement of Omer Abdullah with respect to Delhi towards Kashmir as quite astonishing and incomprehensible and added that it is a mockery and nothing more than election stunt. Tuesday in a statement ,Syed Ali Geelani while referring to the statement of Omer Abdullah said that if he is sincere and what he says then he has no justification to remain in power and share arbitrary policies of Delhi against people of Jammu and kashmir.Omer Abdullah bewails and there is nothing new in his statement, said Syed Ali Geelani and added India Since last 65 years, follows the policy of negligence and fail to notice the veracity with respect to kashmir. It is due to stooges that their policy of state is being managed, said Syed Ali Geelani and while referring to pro-indian politicians, added that Delhi always ignored the aspirations of people and take us for granted. Syed Ali Geelani said, that Delhi with the practical support of Omer Abdullah, Mufti Mohammad Syed and Saif u Din Soze are managing the affaires and because of these persons suffer from delusion. Syed Ali Geelani said that the people who against the national interests act as puppets, could have acted otherwise and added in that case the hope and expectations could have yielded positive results .Reffering to Delhi, Syed Ali Geelani said that they understand that contrary to the wishes of entire population, a few stooges are needed to mislead world opinion and ,who in turn wholeheartedly acknowledge their forced occupation. Syed Ali Geelani said that though these stooges compete to precede each other and added Delhi does not mind for them ,instead for its interests provide chance to their blue-eyed puppets and their preferences change with every passing day. Syed Ali Geelani said that Omer Abdullah has apprehensions and if rulers in Delhi assure him that his authority is safe and after the upcoming elections he will be the key partner in coalition,then surely he will change his stance and added in that case would leave no stone unturned in blaming the profreedom leaders responsible for turmoil in the state. While refering to statement of Omer Abdulah wherein he had said that with respect to execution of Mohammad Afzal Guroo and Sumbal incident the people of Kashmir had exhibited patience ,Syed Ali Geelani said , Omer Abdullah while portraying the situation otherwise, is misleading the world opinion and added that it was the state terror that silenced the voice of people. Syed Ali Geelani expressed his concern over the continued detention of political prisoners and added that this is a as a grave problem .Syed Ali Geelani while terming the statement of Omer Abdullah ridiculous and said his statement against Delhi is but a political stunt and added if Omer Abdullah is sincere then he could have released all the political prisoners ,who are languishing in jails only because they have raised their voice against the stubborn policy of India and demand to resolve Kashmir issue as per the aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. Syed Ali Geelani said that Masarat Alam Butt, Mir Hafez Ullah , Mushtaq-ul-Islam and scores of other Hurriyat leader and activists are languishing in jails since long and Omer Abdullah led administration while Slapping detention orders under PSA time and again on the same person for same charges is unjustified and the worst human rights violation,” said Syed Ali Geelani in a statement today. Syed Ali Geelani emphasized the immediate release of all political prisoners in detention, saying there is no legal or moral justification and unjustified detention is only a serious violation of human rights.
