Chairman Hurriyat Syed Ali Geelani, today distributed Rs. 10,000/- cheque and a relief kit each to the more 50 most deserving families of Srinagar districts and many non-Muslim brothers were also amoung the recipients who have lost their houses during the recent floods. On the occasion, Geelani sahib also thanked all the kind people who generously donate for this sacred work. While defending the publicity of the relief works done by his organization, in his brief address on the occasion, Geelani sahib said that the publicity of the events acts as a receipt for the donors of the same and this process satisfies them that their money or other relief material is reaching to the deserving people and it also encourages more people to donate for this cause. Geelani sahib said that this act is not done for any show-off because the relief which we distribute amoung the affected people is not our own but it is donated by the kind people and we act as the mediators for this. Hurriyat chairman said that our relief distribution process would remain continue till the donations are reaching to us.
