Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan, in his statement has condemned threats to senior journalist and current affairs program anchor Jasmin Manzoor and expressed solidarity with her. Terming it unacceptable, Imran Khan stated that difference of opinion is an inalienable democratic right of every citizen while freedom of speech is ensured under the Constitution. Media, Chairman Imran Khan said, has played a remarkable role in the restoration of democracy in the country and we fully endorse unhindered functioning of media in the country. “Therefore, government should immediately address the issue and ensure complete security to all journalists including Jasmin Manzoor”, Mr. Khan asserted.
