There are no set steps to learn, in a darkened room lit by candles and with your eyes closed I will gently guide you through a full-length class, from the opening meditation, through the dances of the 7 Chakras, and into a mandala art-making exercise to help you re-integrate whatever has come up for you in the dances before finishing with a beautiful closing meditation. The obstructions we create and store in our lives block that power and freedom. It is not only physical energy spent and lost in our daily lives that is at stake. Our emotional fluidity and mental boundaries are so interwoven into the physical body that what we think lands somewhere in the body, and what we feel can give liberation or limitation. Our bodies carry it all. More specifically, our chakras are the hubs that carry our energies collected in each of these realms. Chakradance is an avenue to explore the freedom of de-cluttering each of the main chakra centers. In our classes the soft, safe space lends itself to the spontaneity of movement and a way to move with intention into the deep places within us. These are your movements, how you and your Soul resonates with the vibration of the music and each Chakra. Join us for the 8 week cycle (every Thursday evening) we will begin to Awaken a new Chakra each week which includes Mandala Art at the end of each class depicting your experience, what came up for you and what messages you received. You will also receive specific information each week as a hand out regarding the Chakra you just experienced and ways to work with that Chakra for the coming week including a guided meditation. Cost: $30.00 + HST = $33.90 Dates: December 21st This is a 3 hour workshop dancing through all 7 chakras. It begins with an opening meditation, a warm-up dance, and then one long dance starting at the crown chakra and moving down through each chakra to the base. This is then followed by an integration dance and a relaxation meditation.
