Challenge accepted! As most of you know, I stutter, so will be the least well-articulated Ice Bucket challenge video in your feed. I did my best. My upstairs neighbors cheered me on from our front stoop. I was nominated by Sara Wood to either pour a bucket of ice water on my head or donate to an ALS charity of my choosing; I am doing both. ALS is a neuro-degenerative disease which affects approximately 30,000 Americans. Earlier this year, one of my good friends lost her father to this terrible disease; it is not the sort of illness that only happens to other people. Hopefully the $13,000,000+ dollars this challenge has raised to date will help us get a little closer to a cure. I nominate Donna Marie Vakalis, Michael Gibney, and Melissa Merritt to participate in the challenge. You have 24 hours* to post a video on your head or else donate to the ALS charity of your choosing.
