Champion trainer Chris Waller says he will attempt to pick off another mares feature before looking to Melbourne with his classy mare Catkins after she recorded another dominant win in the Group III Sheraco Stakes (1200m) at Rosehill on Saturday. The daughter of Dubawi is all but unbeatable against the current group of Sydneys fillies and mares when she meets them at set weight and penalties and she produced another top notch performance when toying with her rivals on Saturday.Catkins ($1.90 fav), ridden by Hugh Bowman, defeated the Kevin Moses-trained My Sabeel ($31) by 2-1/2 lengths with John Sargents Neena Rocks ($26) a neck back in third.Im very lucky to have this mare especially after having a mare like Red Tracer, Waller said. Shes a delight to train. She does everything that you want a racehorse to do.Waller said Catkins would progress to the $300,000 Group III Golden Pendant (1200m) at Rosehill in a fortnight which looks at her mercy with the race run under set weight and penalties conditions. The trainer then said she would head to the Group I Myer Classic (1600m) at Flemington on November 1 at her fourth run from a spell. The win gave Bowman a winning double for the day and he also said hes a lucky man to be associated with the five-year-old mare.Shes got brilliant gate speed, puts herself into the race, travels well and has a turn of foot, he said. Shes a pleasure to ride. Its an honour. She was thrown in her on weights and measures and didnt let anyone down. The victory was the 12th from 24 starts for Catkins with her career earnings totalling more than $1.1 million.Below is the punters report on the race:CATKINS: Began quickly and put herself straight into the box seat. Poised to pounce at the top of the straight and didnt need to be asked twice, driving clear to win as she liked. While ever shes racing in the set weights and penalties mares races, shell keep winning because shes too good for them. Her dominance is best emphasised by the fact she was the only on pacer in the finish.MY SABEEL: Settled back near the tail of the field and made up good ground in the straight. Racing in career best form and theres no reason why she wont run well again next time.NEENA ROCKS: Travelled well back in the field before launching a strong finish down the centre of the track. Good start to the campaign.ESTONIAN PRINCESS: Also travelled back near the tail of the field and while she didnt finish off as strongly as the runner-up and third placegetter, she was good late and can build off that performance.SHAMALIA: Always well back and wide in the run. Taken widest at top of straight, dipped badly near the 300 metres then didnt finish race off and dropped out. Too bad to be true.TAB HORSE FINISH MARGIN OPEN MID START 1Catkins101.60N/A1.905My Sabeel22.515N/A314Neena Rock3NK-Neck31N/A269Maysoon43.221N/A263Estonian Princess53.45161417Belle De Coeur63.611129.5010Miss Promiscuity75.111131212Niobe85.581N/A8111Maroon Bay95.631N/A312Chintz105.715201915Echo Gal116.421N/A3113Runway Star128.426N/A3114Stolen Kisses138.561N/A1018Snippetee Bee148.691N/A1016Shamalia1510.29.5106 Clinton Payne
