Championship Update: A double from QPR’s Charlie Austin fired his side through to the #Championship play-off final as they came from behind to defeat Wigan 2-1 at Loftus Road. James Perch seemed to be a man who is cool under pressure, helping Wigan to an early lead through his 9th-minute strike. The goal was only his 2nd of the season, his first being the winner against Manchester City which set them up for an FA Cup Final. However, this wasn’t enough to send his side to a 2nd Wembley showdown. The Hoops were handed a lifeline in the 72nd-minute when Junior Hoilett won a penalty which Austin then converted. With the scores locked at 1-1 Austin left it till the 96th-minute to score his 2nd, securing QPR’s passage to the final against Derby in hopes to return to the Premier League.
