Chance... Day 2 in his new home. He had many walks and lots of interaction with both people and other random dogs. He handles himself wonderfully well and nothing seems to faze him, although he had some trepidation about getting into the car... perhaps due to the last several times he got in a car were not good experiences following the ride. This time he got to go to Petco for a (me) do-it-yourself wash and bath. He seemed to actually enjoy it and there was no struggle, complaints, whining, crying, barking or the like. In fact... Chance doesnt bark!!! Keep in mind he is somewhere between 3 and 4 months old and extremely well behaved... except for liking to tear up carpeting and chewing on sissal rugs. Ive got that under control, I think. Hes a absolute joy!! He hadnt pooped yesterday but had two today... one in front of the Petco store... Sorry, Petco! So far, no accidents in the house... which I know cant last. Got him some chewing items to keep his attention away from chair legs and computer cable wires. One is called a bull bone and it is about two feet long and round along the length. I wonder what that is? Hmmmm. He likes it. When I brought the bag of goodies home and placed it on the floor, he grabbed the handle and dragged the whole bag away (I let him and just watched and laughed) and he crawled inside it to retrieve a smoked pigs ear. Happy puppy. Dont think he got that opportunity in the shelter. Everyone he meets loves him. I hit the jackpot on this rescue.
