Chances for white #Christmas are alive & well per new computer runs. Snow amounts still to be determined. Stronger winds develop Christmas eve into Christmas day with the central pressure dropping (bombing) rapidly by Christmas morning. The images below are off the European computer run, Christmas Eve Day at 7am and then Christmas morning. The black lines are lines of pressure and note how in a 24 period the web of lines becomes packed together, Pressure is falling rapidly and this creates strong winds at the surface. Gusts to 50 mph are possible off these new runs but much more on snow amounts, wind speed and other conditions will we ironed out over the next few days.
