Chandel residents concern over absence of district officers MU NEWS/IMPHAL, Aug 7 : Residents and representatives of various societies and non-governmental organizations operating in Manipur’s Chandel district bordering Myanmar have expressed serious concern over the functioning of the government offices in Chandel district headquarters unlike other districts of the state. “We find non-availability of the district level offices all the time,” says M Tongpao Haokip secretary of Reach-M an chandel based NGO. “Even though they are found during the district level officers meeting,the public are not to meet and talk as frequent as other district headquarters”.
