Chandigadh police has achieved a major success by cracking a murder case of Ankit @ Rahul Chandigadh 3 Septembar : The local police has achieved a major success by cracking a murder case of Ankit @ Rahul s/o Sh. Chander Bhan r/o # 3263, Maloya Colony, Chandigarh age-19, who was student of 10+2 by arresting accused Kuldeep S/o Sh. Radhye Shyam, r/o # 3224, Maloya, Colony , Chandigarh, Age-20 Years. The accused was on the run since 28.08.14 after killing the Ankit @ Rahul. The brief facts of the case are that on 28.08.14 Case FIR No. 360 u/s 302 IPC was registered in Police Station Sector-39, Chandigarh on the statement of Sh. Sandeep Kumar S/o Sh. Chander Bhan r/o # 3263, Maloya Colony, Chandigarh. He has stated in his statement that he is residing at the above said address and working as a sweeper in Health Department on contract basis. On 27.08.14 at about 8.30 PM his younger brother Ankit @ Rahul, age-19, who was student of 10+2 class was playing with other boys in park, near Bus stand Maloya, Chandigarh. He was also walking in the same park. Suddenly he heard a voice of his brother who was crying for help. He immediately rushed towards his brother for help. On reaching near, he saw that one boy who is also residing in the same locality of Maloya was attacking upon his brother with knife and made a Lalkara that you are responsible for the death of his brother Sandeep and he will not spare. He repeatedly attacked on his brother with knife and got him injured seriously. He called his father and they lifted him to GMSH, Sector- 16, Chandigarh for treatment in a Pvt. Vehicle where his brother expired during treatment. During investigation ASP South has constituted a special investigation team consisting Insp. Gurmukh Singh, SHO PS-39, SI Harminderjit Singh I/C PP Maloya and police officials of PS-39, Chandigarh under her close supervision. On 2.09.2014 on a tip-of, the team has succeeded to arrest the accused Kuldeep s/o Sh. Radhay Sham R/o # 3224, Maloya Colony Chandigarh from Jagatpura chowk, Distt. Rai-Breli (U.P) and brought him to Chandigarh today. During interrogation he confessed that he has murdered the deceased Ankit @ Rahul just to take revenge for the death of his brother Sandeep who had committed suicide few months back.
