Chang Choi. Today is the 25th anniversary of receiving my 2nd Degree Black Belt and Instructors certification from the World Tae Kwon Do Federation in Korea under the tutelage of Grandmaster Chang Choi. Around 30 years ago I ran into a Korean gentleman at the grocery store wearing dobok pants. (uniform) He told me he just opened a school in Gainesville. I told him I had a black belt in Shotokan Karate. He then asked me if I would like to learn more than just how to fight. I joined his school and he immediately gave me a beginners white belt. Not to humiliate me but to begin my training properly. He then taught me self defense, discipline and high moral standards. The history of his heritage, etc. Lessons I have carried to this day. This in turn led to my daughter wanting to learn. She has earned her black belt at 12 years old from Windle White. Not only that but Windle instills the highest Christian values possible in a person. All because of a chance meeting at a store many years ago. Thank you Grandmaster Choi and Windle White! If you are in the Houston area Grandmaster Choi is teaching there now. Join up and learn. If you want your child to have confidence, discipline, learn self defense and most of all high Christian teaching and values go to Windle. You wont regret either one.
