Change Maker Spotlight: Sonam Thing Lama, a leader in the mens engagement campaign for gender equality. This wasnt always the case. Sonam used to believe in and live by patriarchal beliefs that dominated women in his community and his home. He once was a man who would never call his wife by her name as a way to dominate her. Today, he is breaking the culture of silence and acting as an advocate for gender equality. Change is possible. And it requires both men and women. I am committed to prove that men’s attitude and behavior should be changed for gender equality and I am proud of the man I am today -Sonam
