Change. Thats my word for this past year. 2014 taught - er, forced - me to embrace change. The year started with a trip to Jamaica with my sister, to visit my extended family whom I hadnt seen for the better part of a decade, filming their life stories for posterity. I hosted an Oscar Party fundraiser, benefitting the MICA film program. After much thought and planning, I road tripped across the US, hiking, and camping, and roughing it in the woods by myself for 40 days and 40 nights, and even experienced a Rainbow Gathering. I went from living in the burbs in Baltimore to a condo in the Hollywood Hills, and I cant be more grateful for the hand 2014 dealt me! Yes, there were some rough patches, and the occasional negative characters whom I removed from my life, but I neednt dwell on that. I proudly tell folks that Im still at the point where I can count all my close LA friends [aside from business associates] on one hand. Its refreshing to move to another city and start over with a fresh slate. The important thing for me to do is to make every day of 2015 count, and make the best life for myself. All the best for 2015, everyone!
