Change is the only constant I read this phrase a long time back but i connected to it only while watching this documentary on the life of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), and how he was so different from the notion we hold today because of the contemporary Islamic world.. A person who apparently let her wife continue business even after marriage, a person who propaganded equality in his last sermon, a person who was so modest even after being the leader of the Ummah(community), and all of these liberal views coming in the 7th century was, by far, his biggest achievement.. While I feel proud of Muhammad, Im also saddened to see the state of my fellow muslims for we have failed to understand the very message of our beloved prophet - constantly improving or modernization of the society because one should never be happy of the current state, however good it may be.. And in not doing so we are rightfully returning to the Age of Ignorance(jahiliya)
