Change of date and venue for Citywide Science Fair! HOMESCHOOL SCIENCE FAIR Feb. 6th 2015, 2-4 PM (Change of date!) Sponsored by RISE Education Resource Center Homeschooled children K-12 are invited to perform an experiment or present a demonstration research project and present their findings in a tabletop display at the RISE science fair. The RISE science fair is open to ALL homeschool students. This year RISE is linked to the UNLV Regional ISEF Science Fair, which is on March 10 (high school), and March 26-28 (K-8), 2015. High school level regional science fair participants are eligible to advance to the national ISEF competition. Last year, the RISE homeschool science fair winner WON the Grand Prize at the Regional Fair, and attended the International ISEF in LA! For those students who just want to present at RISE and are NOT interested in the regional science fair, please contact Kellie and Rachel Hagewen no later than January 12th at [email protected] for more information. There is a location change for this event. It will be held at The Springs Preserve, 333 S. Valley View Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89107, in The Partnership Room. Please be advised it is a bit of a walk, so plan accordingly! We look forward to seeing you and your project at the science fair!
