Changed up the routines today, with a much later than usual 5:00 - TopicsExpress

Changed up the routines today, with a much later than usual 5:00 p.m. five-miler that included a refreshed approach to attacking hills courtesy of Jason Fitzgeralds Strength Running. Doing this in high humidity made for a very soaked shirt, as you can see. Spent an hour picking shards of broken window glass out of the ground (an old story, not-so-fun to tell), took a lake bath, had a short swim (in MUCH cooler water than on Monday), barbecued a couple of smoked brats, enjoyed an opposite view sunset, then raced across town to shoot the orange-lighted Lowry Avenue Bridge (for National Hunger Action Day) & Minneapolis skyline. Whew. Heres the afternoon & evening to-be-named sampler. P.S., For those who wanna know: Jason suggests doing 10-12 seconds, hard/fast as you can go SPRINTS...my usual attacking has been done in hill repetitions of 45-60 second pushes up a .1 mile incline, or 90-120 seconds up a .2 mile incline. Todays route includes one long, gradual climb on the outbound, and the return starts with a 1.5 mile, twisting climb.
