Changing Hands Launches Indiegogo Campaign for Second Store With just three and a half months left until its new location opens in downtown Phoenix, Changing Hands Bookstore in Tempe, Ariz., launched a month-long Indiegogo campaign Sunday night to raise $80,000 by Christmas Eve. “We hoped we were going to be able to borrow money from the bank,” said Changing Hands co-founder and co-owner Gayle Shanks, who took out a mortgage on her home to help make the store’s second location a reality.
