Channel 7 news @6.00pm TONIGHT We had an exciting morning with a visit from channel 7 and the Cerebral Palsy Alliance. The visit was to highlight STEPtember, which is the upcoming fundraiser for Cerebral Palsy. Pippa, a beautiful young girl who was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy at 8 months old attends the preschool. Pippa along with her mum Jo and her sister Indianna shared their story of the hardships faced when someone you love has Cerebral Palsy, the brave battle Pippa has faced and the importance of not only raising funds but also awareness of Cerebral Palsy. Cerebral Palsy is a permanent life-long condition. It is due to damage to the developing brain either during pregnancy or shortly after birth. Our educators at Oakville Preschool have signed up to take part in STEPtember. Each team member must take 10,000 steps every day for 28 days during the month of September. That’s the equivalent of virtually climbing the highest peak on every continent! Not bad for a month’s legwork. I am personally very proud of their efforts and immensely proud of the support they offer to any and all children attending our preschool. Please make it a priority to watch the channel 7 news tonight at 6pm to learn more about this condition. Sponsorship of the event will be posted on Facebook and also be available at the preschool. For more information or to get involved please visit steptember.org.au You Go Girls…. Miss Elizabeth If anyone has the ability to tape it, it would be very much appreciated!
