Chapter 1 The entire class broke into peals of laughter at yet another joke of the visiting professor from the land of kiwis (Ebraham). Everybody gathered in groups for the usual class activity. Gunjan rummaged through her bag and finally found it. But, just as she was about to read it, Mr. Bomb came near her. Afraid of being caught, Gunjan quickly stuffed it back into the bag. Some hours later………………… Gunjan returned to her room on the 2nd floor of ‘J’ Hostel after a tiring day of a business competition TBLA and was about to flop down on the bed. Sleep overpowered her senses so much that the bag fell from her shoulders resulting in all the books being littered on the floor. Too tired to even put them in order, she was about to sleep when her eye caught sight of it. Suddenly, she sat up straight all the sleep having vanished. She had stumbled over it in the morning on the way to the classroom. It was a pale pink coloured diary and appeared to be that of a girl. But the thing that caught her attention was the name: “Tanika”, the girl she envied the most. Quickly, she started reading. June 22, 2014 “I am very happy. Today, I’ve finally entered the kampus. It’s a scenic beauty surrounded by greenery and on twin hillocks. Excited about the coming days. Finally, I can put behind the past and embark on a great journey.” Gunjan is intrigued reading this and proceeds further June 25, 2014 “Today has been a very eventful day filled with classes and assignments. I went for a walk. The Kampus comes alive in the night. It is 12 AM, a new day. I had finally submitted the assignment at 11:55 PM, minutes before the deadline. Quickly, I rush to the MDP auditorium for the batch meet organized by the studcon. Preeti of PGP17 is taking the attendance and I see many guys’ gazes fixed on her. A distinct memory from the past comes rushing in a corner of my mind…… I lose track of the happenings for a while I see a girl from my section chatting behind me. Involuntarily, I overhear their conversation. Gunjan: Have you heard of preeti from PGP17? Alka: Ya, the one who hangs out with the stud behra Gunjan: Probably, They are the only couple who can win splitsvilla……. Alka: meaning? Gunjan: My mentor told me that they have been going steady since a year And are inseparable. And a little bit of magic happened on their last Visit to goa along with the “cultur”al couple PRIYA and VIRat I return from the audi…………… A flurry of emotions run through Gunjan’s mind as she feels surprised and smiles slyly. She hides the book in the drawer of her cupboard. Lying on the bed, Gunjan is planning to share the gossip at Tanika’s expense without revealing her possession of the diary. TO BE CONTINUED ...
