Character dislike / Interesting Event I choose Around the World in 80 Days by Jules Verne . The character I dislike from the novel is Detective Fix . Detective Fix was hired by the Bank of England to investigate the bank robbery . ( The interesting event in the novel is obstacles in travel ) ( The obstacles started when )I dislike Detective Five because( Detective Fix) he suspected Phileas Fogg to be the bank robber . He suspected Phileas because he was carrying a lot of money with him in his carpet beg during his travel . Besides , Detective Fix reported to the Calcutta police about Passepatout wearing shoe into the temple so that he coukd arrest Fogg in India . However , Fogg paid the bail of 2000 pounds to save Passepartout . In addition , Detective also caused Fogg to miss the steamer . Furthermore , Detective Fix did not grateful for what Phileas has done him . Phileas was kind to offer him on boat , Tankedere when they had missed the Carnatic ti go to Shanghai so that they can catch the Carnatic to continue their journey . He believes in his sixth senth and that he can smell a criminal . He also did not carry out any investigation about the bank robbery . Detective Fix is a really bad man . In a nutshell , ( this event is interesting because Phileas Fogg is striving through various obstacles in his travel ) These are the reasons that I choose Detective Fix as the character that I dislike the most .
