Chargé d’Affaires John McNamara awarded three local non-governmental organizations with grants worth a total of $35,000 (approximately M370, 000) to promote democracy and fundamental human rights in Lesotho on August 27, in Maseru. The grants fall under the Democracy and Human Rights Fund II (DHRF II). We congratulate Federation of Women Lawyers-Lesotho, National Federation of Organizations of the Disabled and Woman and Law in Southern Africa-Lesotho, and we look forward to the impact of their advocacy work over the next year.
