In this workshop we will be covering the following topics: Procurement and contracting: • A brief overview of procurement rules and practical considerations for bidders • Recent changes (in particular Social Value Act) and expected changes (particularly to Part B services) • Key pointers when taking on public sector contracts Employment: • TUPE in the context of public to private sector outsourcing – focusing on terms and conditions and dealing with the information and consultation processes. • Pensions – an overview of the current position and consideration of the changes in this area, e.g. Fair Deal 2013.
