Charity begins at home..ifor Sidharth Balachandran, Managing Director, Bumga Group of companies doing charity is nothing new but this time the philanthropist has come to the rescue of five teenage Indian high school students who face a bleak future after being suspended from the schoool under the Indian consulate..Sidharth has agreed to donate Dhs 25000 (More than 400000 Indian rupees) for the distressed family...Many others are keen to help the family, and are confused about how to reach them..the family of seven is in deep financial distress without power, food, shelter and the failed cloth merchant in Bur Dubai is bankrupt and facing a mountain of debt allegedly due to cheating my a friend and partner from Maharashtra...thanks to the initative of Sindhu Biju the popular Malayali RJ (with more than 16000 Facebook friends and foolowers) whose daughter Rosie happened to be a classmate of one of the five pawar girls. She has been forwarding my story about the family to many people, talking to them, following up and even visited the family to give a small donation from her family budget...Her husband and daughter too are actively involved in the drive to help the family. even to help a Marathi family... their community organisations and members are skeptical ..Archana RD another journalist Malayali friend too got involved...and the campaign to help the family is on,. One week I was wandering about without going to the school. Bhaskaran chettan, popular in my village as EMS, saw me hanging around and asked the reason for not going to school.
